We have done some extensive research to bring you this 5 part series on Performance Boardshorts

It seems like long ago when O'Neill introduced a breakthrough for the surf industry: the Superfreaks.  The Oneill Superfreaks were comfortable, lightweight, stretchy, and most importantly incredible to surf in.  Superfreaks quickly became the best selling boardshorts on the market and went on to win the 2004 SIMA Image Award for Product Innovation of the Year.

Flash to the present (6 years later) and the Surf Industry and Boardshorts have completely changed. Core Surf Companies like Billabong, Hurley, Quiksilver, & Volcom make a plethora of Performance Boardshorts. O'Neill still sells Superfreaks as well as many other Freaks like the Jordy Freak, the Lopez Freak, the HyperFreak, and the Hyperfreak 2.0.   SIMA now has an award designated just for Boardshorts. It's safe to say boardshorts have completely changed for the better, and If you surf, Performance Boardshorts are a must have.

Over the next couple of days we will be covering the ins and outs of Performance Boardshorts for 2010. We will try and breakdown all the adjectives and technologies into a simple guide to help you find the perfect boardies to fit your surfing needs.
