The 2008 event champion will be crowned early this afternoon.Former event winners Kelly Slater (USA) and Bede Durbidge (AUS) are still in contention, as are rookies Dane Reynolds (USA) and Jordy Smith (ZAF). California’s Bobby Martinez (USA), France’s Jeremy Flores and reigning ASP World Champion Mick Fanning have all made the quarterfinals as well.The last two heats of Round 4 are up first. Competition will start at 8am.
